People and families in difficult life circumstances

There are moments in life when everything seems to fall apart. At Dzherelo Centre, we stand with those who are going through hardships — to offer support and help.

We work with families who are struggling to cope with life’s challenges on their own — and we do so with respect, trust, and belief in change.

Who do we support?

We support:

  • single mothers and fathers raising children on their own;
  • large and low-income families;
  • families where parents are temporarily unable to fulfill their responsibilities;
  • individuals and families in difficult life circumstances who need support.

How do we help?

At Dzherelo, you can receive social services that help you gradually overcome hardship — step by step. We don’t offer ready-made answers, but we do help you find a way forward together.

We provide the following services:

  • representation of interests (e.g. document processing, assistance with residency registration)
  • social support for individuals and families in difficult life circumstances
  • emergency (crisis) intervention
  • social adaptation (training, skill development, support for self-help groups)
  • social support for guardianship families, foster families, and family-type children’s homes
  • social integration and reintegration (restoring family relationships, developing communication skills)
  • social prevention
  • mediation and conflict resolution
  • information and counselling

How to access the services?

To begin, call the hotline at 16-20 or contact the Social Work Department and prepare a few documents. We will guide you through the process, but here is a general list:

  • application (filled out at the department)
  • copy of passport (pages 1, 2, 11)
  • copy of tax ID (ІПН)
  • MSEC certificate or pension certificate (if available)
  • confirmation of current place of residence
  • IDP certificate (for internally displaced persons)
  • needs assessment report (prepared by our specialist)
  • child’s birth certificate (if needed)
  • income and asset declaration (if needed)
  • other documents depending on individual circumstances
