{"id":1837,"date":"2025-01-25T09:30:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-25T07:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dzherelo.org.ua\/center\/czentr-dopomizhnyh-tehnologij\/"},"modified":"2025-06-18T11:33:43","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T11:33:43","slug":"czentr-dopomizhnyh-tehnologij","status":"publish","type":"center","link":"https:\/\/dzherelo.org.ua\/en\/center\/czentr-dopomizhnyh-tehnologij\/","title":{"rendered":"Center for Assistive Technology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes one right thing \u2014 a wheelchair, walker, or a picture card \u2014 can change a child\u2019s whole world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Centre for Assistive Technologies, we help children with disabilities become more independent, discover new ways to communicate, move, and interact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We don\u2019t just select devices \u2014 we look for solutions that improve the quality of life for the child and their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who do we support?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Families raising children with disabilities under 18 years old can reach out to the Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The service is available regardless of your place of residence, and no documents are required to receive it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do we help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our specialists:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>assess the child\u2019s functional abilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify the need for assistive devices and select the optimal tools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>teach the child and parents how to use the equipment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>help create a comfortable environment at home, school, or kindergarten;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support the use of assistive devices and, if necessary, provide maintenance and repair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">At the Centre, we work with these types of assistive technologies:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Mobility aids: wheelchairs, outdoor strollers, walkers, crutches, canes<br>2. Positioning aids: standing frames, special chairs, body support cushions<br>3. Communication aids: cards, communication books, eye trackers, computer programs<br>4. Daily living aids: adapted utensils, attachments, lifts, dressing aids<br>5. Environmental adaptation recommendations: advice on ramps, stairs, furniture height, lighting, and accessibility for children with visual or mobility impairments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:39px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to access the services?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simply contact the Centre for Assistive Technologies at Dzherelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No referrals, documents, or certificates are needed.<br>We are open to families from all over Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every child has unique needs.
